The nuisance of Flash
Ordering a pizza using the Domino's website is quite a frustrating experience, and I can chalk a lot of my problems up to the whole thing being done in Flash.
Input boxes
Being in Flash, the developers had to somewhat reinvent forms again. Oh great. Now I can not use enter to submit my forms. Now I can not push the cursor down key to access my previous entries. Now I can not login because I have forgotten my password. If it were not in Flash, I would of saved my password in Firefox's handy password database.
New windows
Clicking the large order online button opens a new window where you can order your pizza. Unfortunately, the home page also likes to auto play video in Flash, and nothing frustrates me more than trying to order a pizza, only to hear some advertisement in the background.
Keyboard focus
I want to open a new tab when ordering my pizza, so I push ctrl + t. Nothing happens? Looks like Flash is also capturing my keyboard events.
Doing it right - thanks Eagle Boys
I was pleased to see Eagle Boys did not use Flash - just a generous serving of JavaScript. Of course the ordering doesn't work without JavaScript, but compared to the Domino's travesty, I can let it slide.
